Maybe they won't notice

that I don't have any fabulous knitting photos to post, if I distract them with a photo of Juneau on a rare and PERFECT spring day.

That's the Mt. Roberts Tram station, off to the right. My husband and I rode it up to treeline this morning along with a carload of cruise ship tourists. Temps around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, blue skies, eagles soaring - it really doesn't get much better than that. (Because this is a knitter's blog, after all, that's the second Socks That Rock sock in the foreground.)

And as if that wasn't enough (dayenu), look what was waiting in the mailbox upon our return:

An ebay purchase of Koigu (I'm thinking scarf for ME, but it's really not a day to be thinking about wool scarves), new Patternworks catalog, latest Cast on that, while fun to receive, reminds me that I've been neglecting my Level I Master Knitter's knitting, two movies from Netflix (admittedly, these are for my son, but hey, if he's happy, I'm happy) and a box of vacuum cleaner bags. If you lived in my house, you'd be excited about these too.

We were there!! We were one of the tourists that didn't go on the tram though - we had a date with a glacier and then we hung out in the saloon - very cool. Juneau was my favorite town - because it was so rugged and wild looking beyond the town limits - such a beautiful place you live - and that sock is soooo lucky!!! And stuff in the mail - I want to order some stuff to get in the mail - but I am practicing restraint for just a little while - boo hoo!!

Beautiful picture!

You got fun things in the mail. I've just joined TKGA and signed up to try Level 1 of the Master Knitter program. I'm curious as to how my knitting skills stack up and then improve my skills that aren't wonderful. Now I'm waiting for my information from TKGA.

Gosh. GOSH! What a view! This is breathtaking - I'd so love to come there one day and see this by myself, preferably on such a beautiful sunny day like it was when you took that pic! Amazing!
And I love the new yarn you got - looking forward to seeing what you're going to make with it!

In about a week, I'm going to be one of those cruise ship tourists, too! However, we're going to be looking for yarn shops too...are there any in Juneau we should be sure to hit?? If so, please email me at dragonflyknits at gmail dot com.
Thanks!!
